What is the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand (OTBNZ)?

The Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand (OTBNZ) is a health regulatory authority. We ensure the safety of consumers using occupational therapy services. We do this by making sure all occupational therapists meet the specifications of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003.

We are deeply saddened by the passing away of Wereta Wairakau Pahau (Matua Rackie), our Tikanga Advisor and kaumatua, on Tuesday, June 30. Rackie has been an integral part of the Board’s journey on maintaining and developing cultural safety. He will be profoundly missed by the Board, its staff and practitioners.  Our prayers and thoughts go out to whaea Iris and whānau. Read more here
