Registration process

These are the 10 steps taken in the registration process from the perspective of the OTBNZ:

  1. The online application is received
  2. Documents and fees are received
  3. Fees are banked
  4. The documents are checked
  5. The applicant is advised of any outstanding documents and/or fees
  6. When the application is completely ready, the Registrar assesses the qualifications and competence for registration
  7. The Registrar approves or proposes to decline the application
  8. If the Registrar proposes to decline the application, the applicant is informed of this and is given the opportunity to make submissions to the Board
  9. The Board considers the applicant’s submission (if received), and all relevant information
  10. The Board determines whether to approve or decline the application, and the applicant is advised.
