Non-practising
Registered practitioners who wish to remain on the Register but do not intend to practise occupational therapy in the current practising year can elect to pay the $57 register maintenance fee.
Paying the register maintenance fee facilitates good communication between the OTBNZ and the practitioner, which is especially important for non-practising occupational therapists who may be isolated from other members of the profession.
Practitioners who pay the register maintenance fee:
- receive log on access to the practitioners’ only section of this website
- receive newsletters and other important correspondence via email
- can make changes to address details without incurring extra fees*.
Paying the register maintenance fee also means the practitioner will not be sent revision of the Register letters. Revision of the Register letters are sent out twice a year to all registered practitioners who have not paid any fees for the current year, and those who do not respond can be removed from the Register.
*All registered practitioners have a legal obligation to keep their address and contact details up to date on the OTBNZ’s records. There is a fee of $34 for each change of address for practitioners who have not paid either the register maintenance fee or the practising certificate fee.
