Payments

The OTBNZ has prescribed fees for a number of services (please see the Fees page for a list of these fees).  The OTBNZ will process requests on receipt of the appropriate fee and any other required documents / information.  After the payment has been made the applicant will be contacted by the OTBNZ in due course.

This page provides information about methods of payment available to applicants and registered practitioners. 

Posting a cheque or bank draft

Cheques and bank drafts are to be made out to the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand, and posted to:

Cheques must be in New Zealand dollars.

Supplying credit card details by phone, letter or email

The OTBNZ accepts Visa and MasterCard credit cards.  Please send the OTBNZ (via email or post) authorisation that includes the payment amount, credit card number, credit card expiry date, and the name on the credit card. 

Alternatively, you may provide these details via phone by calling the OTBNZ on 0800 99 77 55 (for calls within NZ), or +64 4 918 4740 (for overseas calls).

Payments from foreign credit cards will be processed in New Zealand dollars at the exchange rate on the day it is processed.

Submitting a credit card payment online

Registered practitioners with log on access can pay the practising certificate fee and the register maintenance fee online with Visa or MasterCard credit cards.

Note about online credit card payments

Some employers’ computer systems have strict security settings that prevent the OTBNZ website from directing users to the secure Westpac Bank payment page.  If the computer system at your workplace is preventing you from accessing the secure Westpac Bank payment page when you are attempting to pay online, please contact your IT team.

Alternatively, you can also submit your payment by logging on from a computer in a different network (e.g. at home).

Refund policy

It is OTBNZ policy that paid fees are non-refundable.
