CCFR audits
5. 1 General and Targeted Audits
Up to 20 percent of individual practitioners will be audited each year, either randomly selected (general audit) or from specifically targeted groups of practitioners (targeted audit). It is reasonable to expect to be audited at least once every 5 years. It is possible that a practitioner may be audited twice in that time, as part of a general audit, and a targeted audit.
Practitioners selected for audit will be told in advance. During the audit, auditors will first look at that practitioner’s details on-line. The auditor may subsequently ask the practitioner to provide further verbal or written evidence of Continuing Competency Framework for Recertification (CCFR) evidence within 10 working days of receiving the request. If, as a consequence, the OTBNZ has any concerns regarding the evidence of competency, a more Comprehensive Competence Review may be undertaken.
5. 2 Costs
The costs of general and targeted competence audits are included in the cost of the practising certificate.
