Christchurch Earthquake

Created by OTBNZ News on 23/02/2011

We understand that some practitioners in Christchurch will find it difficult to complete the full recertification process at this time.

As a response to this we are providing the following advice.

For those practitioners who are affected by the Christchurch earthquake:

1.    Do not worry about updating your CCFR at this point in time.  However, please ensure that you have updated your CCFR and your third party has submitted their attestation by 1 July 2011.

2.    When you apply online for a practising certificate, make sure to check the box that says "Apply for a third party waiver".   Then you can complete all the usual questions and your practising certificate will be processed in the usual way.  This will short cut the need for third party sign-off and is the quickest way to obtain your practising certificate.

Alternatively, you can print off and complete a hard-copy
application form, and post it to:

Occupational Therapy Board of NZ
PO Box 10202
The Terrace
Wellington 6143.

3.    Those who do not have access to a computer should call the OTBNZ on 0800 99 77 55.
